Claypool Returns to Practice After Ankle Sprain
Injury Update for Steelers Wide Receiver
Sprain Expected to Have Minimal Impact
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Chase Claypool suffered a low ankle sprain near the end of Tuesday's practice, but the injury is not expected to be serious. According to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Claypool is expected to be fine.
Claypool initially injured his shoulder in late July, but head coach Mike Tomlin did not consider the injury to be major. The Bears played it safe with Claypool, who returned to practice in full last week.
Claypool's injury is a minor setback for the Steelers, who are preparing for their Week 1 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. However, the team is confident that Claypool will be ready to play in the season opener.
